REGISTERING WITH CAREER SERVICES
WHY Register with Career Services…
-
Your resume can be accessed by employers through a Web Resume Book on the
Internet.
-
You can receive e-mail from Career Services about career-related events
and opportunities for which you qualify.
-
You will be eligible to interview on-campus with Arizona and out-of-state
recruiters for K-12 positions (in 1998-99, about 100 different organizations
interviewed through Career Services for education majors).
HOW to Register with Career Services…
-
Go to the Career Services Homepage
(www.asu.edu/career), and follow the link to ‘Interviewing/Registering
with Career Services.’
-
Using your student ID (without dashes) and the last four numbers
as your PIN, complete the on-line 'Demographics/Registration/Resume' portions
of CareerConnections, and save/upload electronically to Career Services
prior to the assignment due date.
AFTER You Have Completed CareerConnections Registration…
-
Have a walk-in advisor from Career Services review your resume in the Career
Development Center of the Student Services Building, Room 330. During
the Fall and Spring semesters, walk-in hours are Monday, Wednesday and
Thursday, 10-5; Tuesday, 10-2 and 4-6; and Friday, 10-1.
-
Use campus computing sites or other computer access to print a laser copy
of your resume when you want an original to submit for class or a potential
employer.
-
Check ‘Recruiting’ within CareerConnections on a regular basis during recruiting
season (generally in the Spring), to view and/or schedule future on-campus
interviews.
