Listserve/Newsgroup Evaluation
(due on-line Mar. 12)

In the past weeks you have explored the issues of ethnicity, power, representation and voice, in the educational arena, and monitored a topical listserve which extends your mastery of current issues. Join with two colleagues, and based on your readings, and listserve information, provide a 1500 word critical analysis of the issues covered by your listserve participation:

  • Where are overlaps in concerns? Where are sharp contrasts?
  • How are the issues related? What strategies are suggested?
  • Are the issues also covered by mainstream media? What is the difference in the reporting style and perspective?
  • What was the most provocative issue you learned from monitoring this listserve?
  • What was the most helpful thing you learned from this listserve?
